This is a passionate place, and any meal at Hartford House reflects their obsession with culinary perfection. There is little value in living in one of the world’s most bounteous environs without taking advantage of all that it offers. In season, and local, is key!
Dinner is a spectacular five course affair, served in candlelit splendour, either in a historic dining room or on a rambling colonial veranda. Saturdays are accompanied by the best traditional dance display in Africa. You have to see it to believe it. Wine pairings from our 2011 Diamond Wine List awarded by Diners Club International will take any meal to a memorable status.
Breakfasts are celebrations of the creative spirit, individual masterpieces inspired by the freshest local produce. Authenticity and originality are hallmarks of everything Hartford represents.
Lunch menus can provide a respite for the gap between breakfast and dinner for guests. Hartford House also caters for non-resident visitors – with the three course a la carte menus offering a hearty glimpse into Hartford’s food.
All dining is open to the public, but as Hartford House always need to respect the intimacy of residents, booking is essential.
Sit back, relax and let them serve you.
