Just ordered Sushi take-away from Fishmonger in Thrupps Centre. Salmon Nigiri and Salmon California Rolls. Very very average.... It's the rice actually, not good at all.

2013-03-05. I had a meal at Illovo Fishmonger, as one of a party of six.Over the years I have had Pangassius fish on a number of occasions, always really enjoyed its special flavour and nice texture. As a result of my comments about how good the Pangassius is, 4 of the 6 at our table ordered the Pangassius. When our orders arrived and I tasted the Pangassius fish, it was not at all as I remembered it on the previous occasions. I found the fish tasteless and with no texture, it was totally pap, almost falling off the fork. As a guest I did not want to complain and cause a fuss. The others who ordered Pangassius I felt out of courtesy to me just ate their fish without any comment. I came away from Illovo Fishmonger last night feeling upset that I had spoilt the mealfor other 3 who ordered Pangassius on my recommendation. Over the years I have always said to friends that Illovo Fishmonger is a fish restaurant that never fails one, but last night experience left me extremely disappointed. You need to look into what has happened to the Pangassius you are serving to customers.

Booked for 8pax for a Friday evening-arrived on time only to be told our table was not ready-we were then seated near the kitchen where we couldn't hear ourselves talk-food was not up to scratch as per usual and Manager very rude and totally stressed-perhaps he needed a day off-he totally ignored us-we are paying customers-is our money not good enough? will not be going back

We have been going to your restaurant for many years, always enjoyed. Last Saturday we had a particularly bad meal at a very expensive price. the prawns were still frozen at the tail and the sole was nothing short of disgusting. the rolls and the salad were good as always.I asked to see the manager and was left standing in the foyer for a long time after which i decided to leave, i am however not leaving it there. This is meant to be constructive criticism and I hope that it is heeded. thank you I. Valente
