Seriously Mamo, you cannot expect a restaurant to purchase equipment to serve liquidised food to special needs children. They simply aren't equipped for it and can't accept responsibility for something like that - who knows what would happen if the child choked on a meal the restaurant prepared? You should bring food for your child to eat when you go out. Sounds like they treated you as well as they could.

Mamo, I feel for you and your frustration but I think you need to be reasonable. Whilst I am not a fan of Dros I dont agree that they discriminate against people with disabilities. You cant expect them to cater for your childs needs. You could have called ahead and you could have explained your situation first. The would have probably made a plan. To curse everyone who works there is a little OTT dont you think?

This is a restaurant straight from heel! There i go for lunch with my 2 kids, one with special needs and sitting on a wheelchair on easter sunday. Because my child cannot swallow solid food, i requested that they blend his food together with a blender (this tool costs less than R200 at shops). I was told there was only one blender - and it was only used for alcohol. I asked if this thing was not washed? I requested they use it to make my son food. Needless to say they started going around to ask their so-called manager , who did not even have the decency to come and tell me himself that they would do no such thing. He sent his 'people'to tell me. I took my kids and left the God-forsaken restaurant. Just so people know - this place discriminates against the disabled!!!!!! I wonder what the hospitality industry and department of health has to say about this! You people at Dros Midrand will meet your day - and you shall pay for what you did! Your arrogance and ignorance is beyond measure! I curse the whole lot of you!
