What started as a daily local coffee spot for three sisters (Ali, Sue and Les), turned into pure passion and appreciation not only for how coffee is made, but also grown and produced. After many cups of Doubleshot’s artisan coffee, they decided this was a passion that they could not ignore and moved in right in the heart of Plettenberg Bay.The Coffee:
Artisan coffee at its best with a Kees Van Der Westin Mirage Triplette coffee machine, only 2 of its kind in South Africa.
The beans are carefully selected and supplied by Espresso Lab Microroasters who can be found in the Old Biscuit Mill in Cape Town.
Espresso Lab showcase coffees from fully traceable farms, estates and cooperatives and look to establish relationships with growers and exporters, always looking at sustainable, fair and equal trade. Doubleshot is proud to be part of the specialty coffee community. Cortados, Flat Whites and traditional cappuccinos and Lattes form part of the daily menu, to name a few.The Food:
Deli type food,made fresh daily, from baked cheesecakes, Florentines and lemon slices to a selection of sandwiches made with fresh stone ground rye or low GI bread. Gluten free chocolate cake and crust less quiches, just to name a few, of the mouthwatering food on offer.
For those not fond of coffee there are always fresh juices eg Carrot, Apple, Beetroot and Ginger.Twitter
