Its enormous popularity always speaks for itself. This is without doubt our favourite Cavendish restaurant. The staff always remember us and the food only gets better and better.

I had coffee here whilst my girlfriend tries the carrot cake. This turned out to be dry and looked like it had been baked 5 days before. We called the manager and raised this with her, only to be told that that was the way they bake it and that there was nothing wrong with it. The fact that it was harder than a rock made no difference to her and she was not going to take it off our bill. The least she could have done was offer us something else. I will not be returning.

WE ATE AT DZ, CLAREMONT IN 2009 WE COMPLAINED ABOUT ONE OF THE MEALS WE ORDERED THE WAITER IGNORED US AND SAID THEY WOULD GET THE MANAGER, WHO WAS NOT THERE TO CONTACT US AND APOLOGISE AND FORWARD US A VOUCHER TO COMPENSATE FOR THE PASTA WE DID NOT EAT BUT THEY DID NOT. THE CUSTOMER DOES NOT MATTER.

Doppio Zero Cavendish - SHAME ON YOU! I, my family & a couple of Canadian tourists we had brought along had a really bad experience at Doppio Zero Cavendish last night. We had sat at a table outside & not noticed the reserved sign - which looks remarkably like a menu! A waiter approached and pointed this out as another table became available & we asked if we could stay & the 'reserved' sign moved to the table that had become available. The waiter agreed & took our drinks order. Not long after a person with incredibly limited customer service came and told us to move, we explained having spoken to the waiter & his response was that the waiter is not allowed to do that!? He pulled the reserved sign, waved it at us & slammed it down on the table. Result: We left. Not sure if this is the owner/manager, no matter. Disgusting attitude. Needless to say, we will not be back & our guests take a scintillating opinion of service in CT home with them!

Have wanted to try for some time now, as the breads on display look amazing. Then a few weeks back the wife said she met someone for coffee and it was a really good cuppaccino. So last Sunday we tried it out the coffe was very good. I had the chourico and calamari pasta, good and decent size, the tomatoe sauce was fresh, if a little to much the chourico was plain and the calamari bland. My wife had the Salmon Salad undressed slightly griity leaves with rather oily Salmon was tasty but not exciting. My boys shared a large pizza with mushrooms bacon and avo good size right amount of cheese toppings were fresh. The base and the side orders of bread leaves one with no doubt that they really have a great bakery and high quality flour. Service was slightly slow and unnattentattive. A reasonable restaurant with prices higher though not unreasonable. We will probably be back for a coffee or two and a take home ciabatta, full meal ..... not convinced.

Karibu "Karibu is one of my favourite restaurants to pop in for a dinner that never disappoints. The atmosphere is warm and relaxed with a distinct South African feel that's both elegant and upmarket. The service is friendly and efficient - I always rely on the manager (Bruce) for meal recommendations which thus far has been spot-on, yet I'm sure the menu as a whole is good......"
