Venue a bit cramped, but comfortable. Food took very long as the order was mixed, however waiter was honest and apologetic about it. Service was very good. Starters were excellent but small and expensive. Mains were very average: pork cutlet too bony and difficult to eat, duck too sweet and chewy, chicken too bland, and not enough meat or much to look forward to in the pastas. Dessert was good but small. Portions are very small and prices are not worth the experience. Unless you're craving a chicken liver parfait or seared salmon starter, I would not recommend this place.

Not sure where Rob was eating, there is nothing average or uninteresting about Coobs menu. Everything has a twist and all of it is delicious. Organic produce served by very efficient waiters. Wine menu excellent. Great job being done by Chef James Diack and his team.

A most disappointing meal, four of us 2 steaks, one pasta and one fish, the most uninteresting meal we have had in ages, including the deserts, service and wine very good, however been there not to return again. Sadly Coobs will not survive in JHB
