We visit the Western Cape every January and no visit would be complete without dining at Chapmans Peak Hotel. The outside seating area is totally unpretentious but, after all our visits we have decided that new tables and chairs would be a good idea. But, it is the food that is the main attraction and I have to say we have never had a bad meal there. The calamari has to be the best in the Cape, the steaks are consistently good and the combos of both are excellent. Malva pudding on the dessert menu was a favourite of my husband's but he was a little disappointed with the cake this year and said that it tasted as if it was not home made Excellent wine list. Good service from friendly staff. Prices very reasonable
