Really the worst Ive ever been to. Who are the judges who rates these places number one in our country? ANBIANCE: chic, trendy industrial look but can come across as slightly cold. PATRONS: most patrons sat for almost an hour with nothing on their tables aside from waiters walking round with huge platters of meat showing off the cuts for the evening. Target market is obviously a slightly higher LSM. FOOD: we love eating out as a family and love our rare and medium rare cuts. The meat was terrible, tasted and smelt like wild animal. It was tasteless. Food took extremely long to get to us even though we were alone in restaurant. Dessert was late by ONE hour... Yes,ONE hour. I think the Waite forgot about us and when we wanted to cancel he said its on his way and that chef didn't want to serve a popped soufflé??? SERVICE: slow, definitely not what is expect from a place rated number in the country!! PRICE:shocker!! You literally pay for everything individually we were four pax (2adults 2 teenagers) our ill was R1500. My son got a burger with NO rolls cost hey apparently didn't have.... At start if their evening at 6:30 Reservation they had no rolls....but we were squarely charged for a full burger!!! Cattle baron has better steaks then Carne,HQ is better than Carne too. This was the worst ever... And spending R1500 for that sucked! Never again! I'd like to give it NO STARS BUT THE DEFAULT IS ONE! CARNE YOU GET NO STARS FROM ME!!!!!!
