Cargills' cuisine offers food with a Parisian flair in Rondebosch.

The menu spans from Carpaccio of Springbok to Figs with Gorgonzola as starters, to Pork Belly, Beef Fillet and East Coast Sole as mains. Or French classics such as duck liver pate, mussels in a champagne cream and chateaubriand in a bordelaise sauce.

For dessert, the white chocolate parfait with a white chocolate sauce is sublime, or go traditional with the best crème brûlée this side of the tracks.

Dined at Cargills last night. From the welcome at the door to the coffee it was a stunning evening. We had the exotic mushrooms en croute to start, confit duck with plum sauce and belly pork with a pear and sage sauce for mains. too full for dessert and having had their crème brulee previously we were disappointed at our lack of intestinal fortitude! Professional service, great atmosphere and food to go back for again and again.

4 of us had a meal there last Wed evening. Absolutely superb from starters to mains to desserts. The amount of passion and attention to detail in preparing the food deserves accolades of the highest order. Not to forget the service which was exemplary.
