The restaurant building dates back to the same age as the main guesthouse i.e. about 1860. This building started life as a tobacco barn. The only old elements remaining today are the thick clay brick walls. One of the previous owners used the property as an office for an estate agency. According to him the first ever property deal was clinched in this same building.

The building was extensively renovated in 2005 with the addition of a new kitchen, conservatory, loft accommodation and extension of the inside and outside seating area. Today the Café Felix building is a proud landmark in "Kerk straat".

The cuisine at Cafe Felix can be described as sumptuous French-Italian inspired country cuisine.

A blackboard menu is still used that changes on a regular basis.

The wine list reflects the excellent choice in both white and red wines available from the local and neighboring wine states and cellars.
