Beautiful duck salad. Perfectly cooked Angus steak and nice ambience, although service needs urgent attention.

Lovely evening at Cafe Dijon on Saturday night, our first time. Liked the decor, good service, wine was great and food was pronounced excellent by all four of us - the fresh asparagus and rocket starter was just that: deliciously fresh!! and steaks perfect. Tap water no problem - big tick! Good for people watching too.

No music was playing and the noise was bad - terrible acoustics in the place. Service was appalling; waitress didn't know the menu or anything about wines, she was pushy and tried to sell us chargeable extras such as onion rings as 'complementary' side dishes; when asked to recommend 'vegetarian' dishes by my date, she suggested the duck and calamari! they were out of their signature steak after she recommended it to us; the sirloin i ended up having was okay and decent value for money. both my friend and i agreed we won't be going back.

Good to hear other people's views.I was with a group of friends,6 of us actually for the Restaurant week Sunday dineer and I must say we were blown away. It wasn't full and our Waiter, George was amazing. We ordered from the set menu and the food was great. George recommended some dessert cocktails for us and and as if hat wasn't enough, he encouraned us to go to the bar and make them ourselves with under the supervision of Barman Serge. We really had a great time and will come again this time a much bigger group. Thanks to Nico the Chef and Serge and once again our George for an unforgetable experince. We will be back. From Maxxi(The Brazilian who loves medium rare meat).

Food is average, lack of management or direction, and even had the owner come to our table and say "I'm the owner"... Who in their right mind goes to tables and says that?

I was recommended by my daughter to visit this restaurant. We reserved a 4 seater table (for 2 People) as i find that a 2 seater is a bit crampy... Unfortunately they could not get hat right even though it was half empty!!! The lovely waitress Jessica needs major training as she does not know the difference between Langoustines and Shrimps... We settled for their signature steaks which to say the least were very disapponting ,i asked for medium rare ,more rare tahn medium and was presented with a medium dry steak... No ice cream was available for our desert (the Spar is across the road for Piet's sake !!!!)) When i asked for a digestive they said they had none ..so i asked for a jagermeister and that they had ,then i asked if they had Grappa and lo and behold they had that too!! Typical overated very average restaurant with lack of direction and lack of proper managment. First and last time....

Had a fantastic lunch at Dijon. Great venue, well decorated and one of the best steaks I have ever had in Cape Town. Parking is a bit of a hassle, but well worth it. Wine list short but good and well tempered towards the menu. Overall good value for money, excellent ambience and friendly, if slightly overattentive, staff. Will come again and recommend to others. Cheers g.

Had dinner tonight at Cafe DIjon and without a doubt in my mind had the best dinner in a very long time. Started with the seared tuna salad which was perfectly done, for my main i had the squid linguine and oh my gosh it was mouth watering, (going back for that). After a glass of beyerskloof pinotage i had the chocolate profiterolls which is seriously a very light desert and so fun, dipping the rolls in the chocolate and getting it all over your fingers, felt like a kid again. Big thumbs up for Cafe Dijon. Xxx

It is great news that Johan and Sarah du Plessis have relocated their wonderful Cafe Dijon from Stellenbosch to Green Point Cape Town. We had an exquisite meal at the brand new Cafe Dijon this evening. The space is beautifully designed and will certainly become one of Cape Town's most popular destinations. Our starters, a hearty onion soup and a refined onion and tomato tart , were both delicious. For mains we had the signature Dijon cut steak which was the best steak I have had since my visit to Peter Luger in New York. Can't wait to go back.

One of our favorites! Their spinach cone starters are great as 'ice breakers' to get a fun vibe at the table...
