        I recently visited the restaurant and was really dis-appointed with service, food and whole experience. The venue has so much potential but the if the food is really bad. I hope things turn around and they at least hire a proper chef and this review triggers a change. No stars from me, sorry but i have to give to have this review posted.

        TED - WOW, so you would have gotten your deposit back on the spot (ha ha), immediately found another venue in that area that can accommodate your group size and your original budget, waited for all your guests and moved them over to the new venue, arranged your food platters and your bar area for your guests with no hassle in time to enjoy your wife’s birthday party?? Wow, you must be far more efficient and spontaneous then the rest of us who require a bit of time and planning for these things. What I understand is that for 2 or 4 or 6 people to get up and leave a restaurant for bad service is easy but when you have a function for a lot of people it does not work like that. Celsio had every right to complain and should complain so that no-one else, without your impressive party planning skills, ends up stuck in a bad situation for a special event.

        @ Denise. YOu really didnt understand - do you? All I am saying if you got to the restaurant and they started messing you around in the beginning then go somewhere else. If you have paid a deposit demand that back. Then you wouldnt have to complain. Certainly wouldnt stand for all the problems as mentioned. Complain with your feet!

        Seriously TED? I dont know the poster and I dont know the venue bit which part of the fact that they had obviously pre-arranged a function for a number of guests missed your notice? When you prearrange a function you book, pay a deposit and expect to get what you were quoted on and agreed. You cant then just decide to go somewhere else at the last minute when the venue messes up. I assume that the review was a copy of the complaint that the person sent to the venue - perhaps you think people should not complain when they get screwed over in SA?

        Why didn't you walk out when you arrived at 4pm and they told you your booking was for 6pm. If there is trouble at the beginning you know there will be trouble later. Sure there would have been plenty of restaurants to accommodate you. But you obviously have to much time on your hands to write a summary. Would have hated to have seen the long version.

        @Celsio - Were you taking notes the whole time as you observed everything so well. You couldnt have enjoyed the party as all you were doing was being like a hawk. Nothing got away from you. Your review was so boring gave up after the first couple of lines

        Summarised story is that we had my wife's birthday at Blue Feather restaurant and the service, food and alcohol wasn't at all what we expected/asked for. We ordered 12 platters(10 normal snack platters and 2 desert), only got 8 food platters and 1 desert platter, none of these platters were what we ordered, the service was no where close to par and the alcohol was minimal. See below the issues we had with the restaurant 1 - As per most recent quote attached, time stated our function would start at 16H00 only to be told that it was 18H00 and to tell our guests this was utterly and downright rude. 2 - Our guests were turned away from the bar from 16H00 till around 17H30, who does that! 3 - None of the heaters were working and we asked a number of times for the lights near the Boma to be turned on and that never happened. 4 - Your staff were no where, i asked the waiters at least three times for a round and didnt get it, not only that my wife asked for a cappuccino about 5 times and never got it! I can only imagine what happened to our guests as they are too polite to tell us if anything was wrong. 5 - the B&B - There was no hot water in the room we stayed and the other room didnt have any towels. 6 - Breakfast was soo average and oily! The manager from the previous night was the cook?, who made an effort but didn't have any sauces and the juice we were given was expired. 7 - You said that you were going to set up the bar out side and this wasnt done. Few main things that are really bugging us: 8- Bar wasnt fully stocked even though you promised us a full bar and we told you when we first met you that you would make money on the bar and not the food and you assured us that the bar would be fully stocked. When i asked you about it you said i should have told you our bar requirements, that is just embarrassing as an establishment as yours should have all the basic alcohol as well as at least a few shooters for a 29th birthdayparty. What makes me even more angry is that your staff told us there was a function(30th birthday) two weeks before ours and the bar was fully stocked! 9 - See the platters attached, none of the platters you brought out even resembled any of these! We ordered 10 platters and you only brought out 8! 10 - Why on earth were your waiters clearing the food when our guests were still there and eating??? 11 - all the food was cold, cant understand why you didnt put the platters in bain maries? And not only that we asked the waiters to warm up the food and every time the food came back the plate would be half empty and the third time the food took 30mins to warm up. 12 - We asked for two desert platters and we only got one! See attached. Once again, according to the other attached file, it isnt anything like what we ordered. See image of platter attached that the waiters brought out. 13 - The desert platters didnt even come out until we asked for it and by then most of our guests had gone. For some reason your staff took the desert platter back inside and when we asked for it it came back almost empty! All of this just adds up and i think i am a pretty understanding and relaxed person, as well as my family but when things like this happen especially for such a big function that was for my wife it really really irks me off.
