What a fantastic 7 course fine dining experience!! All the flavours of each course on the fine dining menu were very well balanced. All five of us for each course sent empty plates back to the kitchen. This is a beautiful restaurant and the setting is tranquil. Not the cheapest but still feel it is value for money and a special place to spend an afternoon or evening for our (twins) 60th birthday celebration with our very close family. The service was also excellent!! Although we travelled from Secunda (Mpumalanga) to Midrand approximately 150kms, we will have to return again, hopefully in the not too distant future!!

We have been twice before and had good meals. Our 3rd visit did not live up to our expectations. Firstly we had to ask for menus, the waitress said she wanted to take our wine order before we chose our food. I was going to have the fillet dish(again) but opted for the duck after asking if it was served pink or well done. The waitress said crispy and cooked right through. When it came the blood was absolutely running. There were no staff in the restaurant so after waiting for a while I had to walk round and call behind the bar and into the kitchens to find someone to help. By the time the waitress returned with my meal (hacked open and fried) my husband had finished eating. No management seemed present on this Saturday night. I feel it is probably only worth going if the chef himself is there.

Absolutely stunning venue. Very tranquil. Top notch service from a lovely and knowledgeable waitress. Food was extraordinary. Will be back to try the 7 course meal.
