Took some friends to Bice last night (3rd visit this year). Firstly, although the sundowner pool deck is not part of the restaurant, it sets the mood. Lovely setting but no (as in 0%) service. Also dirty. Went through to the restaurant. As always, the wine list is a delight. Something there for everyone. The food, as we have come to expect, was excellent (a variety of dishes were shared). Just such a pity that the waitron was more like what one would expect in the lesser Cape Town eateries. Disinterested, rude and generally MIA when needed. Twice she made eye contact with my guest while he was signalling that her service was needed, and just ignored him. I really like the food, but I shall not subject my friends to such rude and embarrasing behaviour. Pity.

Completely overrated. Steak overdone, pasta like rubber, mash was runny and tasteless. And don't get me started on the lack of service. 2nd visit, and service was pathetic on both occasions. Will never see my family step foot in Bice ever again.
