My wife and i walked around the waterfront searching for a place to eat good food, made with passion and served with love. We found this at Balducci's. The Menu is honest and caters for most tastes. The Fillet i had was the best ever I've ever eaten. Period.The starter Portions are generous and the Parma ham smell and taste was outstanding! The staff are professional and friendly without giving the air of being "paid to be friend". Overall it was a great experience from start to finish and as a result will. We going back this week again for the awesome looking sushi!

Balducci's has recently introduced a Hamburger menu and I have been back twice as I can not believe the incredible value for money,not to mention the fabulous ingredients used. Seriously the best burger in South Africa as far as I am concerned at the best value. Burgers started from R60.00 and had the best bun, incredible patty, freshly prepared relishes and the most wonderful chips. Fabulous!

I took Balducci's Royal Sushi up on their offer and went back to the sushi bar last night to see if I had perhaps just caught them on a bad night on my first outing. I'm pleased to report that this meal was much better than our first one. In particular, the salmon and yellowtail were outstanding. I'm often disappointed to find that sushi restaurants cater to popular tastes and serve only salmon and tuna, so any restaurant that can serve local white fish this fresh and tasty must be commended. Presentation was great, as it was on our first visit. Thank you for the opportunity to experience what the restaurant can do on a good night, and we'lll most likely be back in future.

My husband and I decided not to plan our 1 year anniversary celebrations at all...we decided to just go with the flow...so we ended up at Balducci's. The place has such a wonderful atmosphere but the service on the day was lacking... We had a bottle of wine and an hour later our starters had not arrived yet...the place was quite quiet for early Sunday evening...Needless to say we decided to leave because we were filled with drink but no food :-) After chatting to the manager on duty they decided that the bottle of wine would be free :-) and then off we went to restaurant number 2...which was even worse...and finally restaurant number 3 was THE ONE :-) We'll be back at Balducci's though...it's a great place...I guess we just had bad luck that time round :-)

Ate at the sushi bar.. presentation was great, service was ok, but the sushi was not up to scratch. Better selection than most places in Cape Town (they had octopuss, mackerel, tuna, salmon and yellowtail), but it was not fresh enough. Perhaps we were being served the stuff that was unpacked for lunch at dinner time? The prices are at the upper end for sushi in Cape Town, so they really need to be serving the very best quality.

These have to be the best burgers in town and the best value. These burgers are huge and delicious and what is more you get your parking for free. Where can you get a better deal??

On Saturday night we went to movies and decided to then try Balducci's as we haven't been in awhile and I heard that they have a new menu. I had a prego roll and was good value -very big and steak was very tender. My girlfriend had a bacon and guacamole burger of which I ate half because it was so big. Good job on the new burger menu!!

We had a very nice lunch yesterday and have to agree that the burgers are the best. Just disappointed to see that a 10 % service charge is automatically added. It does not mention that anywhere on the menu. I normally give a 15 % tip so the waiters dipped out in the end!
