Food24 is holding a steak-out and we need you to vote.
This week we are going to see who can stake their claim for... yip, you guessed it... the best steak in Cape Town.This is going to be a monster vote as we have some big guns in the running. And everybody knows choosing your favourite steak is a big deal. Not to be trifled with...We did the usual shout out on Twitter and Facebook and checked the reviews on Food24 - and we rounded up the meaty suspects for this week's vote. Carne SA was an obvious choice as were one or two of the Hussar Grills. Hell they are all good (and they don't charge corkage!) - but we can't include them all.... sorry... so please feel free to comment below if your favourite Hussar is not on the list. Dale's Black Angus in Milnerton got a few mentions and Cattle Baron in Plattekloof does an outstanding Chateaubriand. One of SA's most well-loved chefs, Pete Goffe-Wood picked Belthazar at the V&A Waterfront and Carne SA also got his vote. Brad's Grill in Harfield Village makes it onto the list and 1800 Degrees in Greenpoint is a well-known steak haven. The Grand Beach Cafe goes into the vote with several mentions on the social networks and last but not least we have Pirates in Plumstead and did somebody say... The Nelson's Eye?Due to increasing comments and recommendations for Knife Restaurant - we have added them to the vote! So there you go if you love Knife - give them your vote now! Let's get our vote on! And PLEASE remember to comment below if your favourite steakhouse is not in the vote.
