The Cattle Baron in Tableview was established 12 years ago and is owned and operated by the original owners.We are proud of the quality of our products and service. We do however acknowledge that things might go wrong on occasion, but we are certain that this is not the norm. We buy only the best ingredients and our waiters and chefs are trained on a continuous basis. We strive for world class quality and have a policy of never ending improvement. It is with this in mind that I invite Janine to contact me directly in order for us to establish whether we can resolve the matter to her satisfaction.

My boyfriend and I went to eat at the Tableview branch. We were seated quickly as we never made a booking. We then waited 20 minutes for a drink, for which I had to call someone to help us with our order. When we received our food it was cold and completely tasteless. We decided to give them another chance a few months later.The service was terrible our waiter did not attend to us, once again had to ask for assistance. Eventually when our waiter arrived he did not seem interested in attending to us, but more attentive to the table behind us. No manager came to check up on us. Once again, I was really disappointed in the service and food of a restaurant that everyone seems to think is so great.

We haven't been to this restaurant for a while, then oneday decided it was time for a nice steak. What a disappointment! Both our plates of food when it reached our table were cold. You can't eat cold chips! We left without eating. I don't like my food re-heated. OK so we decide to give them a second chance. Another big disappointment. Instead of the rump I ordered I got sirlion. They are cramming as many people as possible into the restaurant and cannot cope with the volume. Bad service, bad food.

I remember seeing the sign outside the restaurant about 3 years ago when I was on holiday with my husband. Thinking it was too expensive to eat there, we put it off that year. The following year we were with my in-laws and being the meat lovers we are, we decided to bite the bullet and go eat there. Well, were we pleasantly surprised. Not only was the food good value for money, but delicious as well. My steak was prepared so well, I could have cut the steak with a spoon, it was so lovely and tender! It was a great evening out with family and our waiter was an expert - he knew everything that was on the menu. Thank you Cattle Baron Steak Ranch, you have my vote and I'm sure if I ever visit the Cape again, I will make another stop at your fine establishment.

My boyfriend and I go there at least twice a month, the food is superb. The service is incredible, its lovely to be noticed there, they remember their customers and often offer free drinks or desserts. Now thats service.
