Being the cheap person I am I love a bargain ... So flipping trough the Atlantic Sun I saw an add for The Nose, a R150 deal. This I had to investigate.
On the Menu were winter warmers like chicken curry, bangers and mash, pie of the day, hotpot and many more.
The R150 deal was for 2 selected meals off the main menu and a bottle of wine. My partner had the chicken curry I had the bangers and mash. The mash was a butternut mash that was just the best thing I have eaten in a while, and I hate butternut, but with the gravy it was just tops.
The chicken curry was just the right side of spicy for my partner, I would have liked it a bit hotter. Red wine washed it all down. The atmosphere was very laid back and welcoming, staff knew what they were talking about in food as well as wine which makes for a pleasant change. Value for money it scores a ten out of ten. We will be back again and again as there are many menu items I still want to try. Give The Nose a go.

Had an amazing time at The Nose bar last night - it was perfect winter food. My husband had an incredible Chicken and Apricot pie - loads of chicken and good creamy sauce and I had the hugest portion of bangers and mash with butternut mashed potato. The gravy was just divine. Our waitress Mary couldn't have been better - she was superb even though the service from the kitchen was a little slow as they had no gas that evening. But we had such a nice time with the live jazz and wine tasting which was going on that we didn't mind. We will definitely be going back very soon!
