Must admit I like this restaurant and the food. However, the last time I booked a table there (4 weeks in advance) for my wife's birthday we shown to one under the stairs and with a fan roaring away. When we complained we were told by the manager that if we didn't like it we should go. We did... and we haven't been back since (We tell this story to other potential customers if we asked about it.)

Visited Ginja with my sister a couple of weeks ago. Sensational, bind-blowing and incredible are words that come to mind, but still do not do it justice!!! We both had the tasting menu paired with wines - absolutely incredible. After each course, we were convinced that the next course could not be as good - but got proved wrong each time! Favourites included the "whole duck", Springbok Wellington and oysters. Service faultless, and ambience treads a perfect balance between vibey and intimate! I'm getting married in a couple of weeks time, and will defnitely be back soon to celebrate!

Hi, I am Irish and have eaten in the best michelin star restaurants around the world (not boasting just setting the tone). Ginja is the best restaurant I have ever eaten in. The food is exceptional but fun at the same time. The service is relaxed but perfectly attentive. The walk through the kitchen to the toilets is one of the highlights. If i worked for michelin, Ginja would have all the stars i could get my hands on. Flying back to cape town this christmas and really looking forward to my meal in Ginja. Keep up the great work Gary and your team.

All expectations were surpassed. Food, service and venue utterly wonderful. Every mouthful was like a fairy tale ,dreamy and enchanting. Well done to restaurant who has done justice to the art of cooking!
