2 I don't know what the other people are going on about, but I had a wonderful time last week. There were a group of us and usually with a big table you think that the service will be slow. On the contrary, we were well looked after by our waiter and after all the awesome reccomendations that she came up with we still didn't pay and arm and a leg. I reccomend the Brie, Fig and Bacon pizza. I'll definately go back. Thanks guys!!!

3 There is only ONE Borruso - and I'm sorry to say it's neither in Kenilworth or Rondebosch BUT in Sydney Australia. The founder of Borruso's, Jamie Borruso, has found his way over down under and has opened Borruso's in Northbrige, Eat you heart out SA, there is only one TRUE Borruso's and that's where the Borruso name is!

4 Yes, it's a great shame that Borruso's (Rondebosch) gets confused with Borruso's (Kenilworth) when the two establishments are so different.

Borruso's (Kenilworth), on the intersection of Mains Road and Kenilworth Main Road, is the best pizza joint in town, and their Del Cuoco is Cape Town's best pizza. I continue to go back over and over again. They have a very clear idea of what it is they're in business to do, and they do it very well also being warmly welcoming. They've expanded into every possible nook and cranny, and are still usually packed out.

The typical Borruso's (Rondebosch) experience, on the other hand, is as Susan describes, and I could have warned her in advance. They are much less well frequented, and it's not rocket science to link this to routine snide and sarcastic cracks from the management; iffy waiter service and pizzas that are okay-but-not-special.

I live in Rondebosch, but find it's worth going to Borruso's (Kenilworth). I have had enough bad experiences at Borruso's (Rondebosch) that I've stopped bothering to try them one more time.

5 I experienced the rudest service ever anywhere in this restaurant on Friday night. One of my dining companions ordered one of the special pizzas and asked for the boerewors to be substituted with bacon. She also asked for extra pineapple. When the bill came, she had been charged for a Margherita, plus every single item on the pizza billed as an extra. A fairly simple pizza for R80? When we queried it, the manager stormed up to our table, slammed down the bill, and in a rude and aggressive manner said that he had adjusted it THIS time, but it was against their policy. This is not stated on the menu and the waiter said nothing. The manager had the cheek to talk to us as if we were naughty 10-year-olds. He wagged his finger and said,"NOW REMEMBER IN FUTURE..." What future?
