Ingredients (7)

GRANITA:
1 l coffee — cold
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla — extract
ICE CREAM:
500 ml cream
1 condensed milk
1 tsp vanilla — paste
salt — just a pinch

Method:

To make the Granita:
Mix the granita ingredients together and pour into a shallow container and place in the freezer.

Scrape the mixture with a fork every 30 minutes to create crystals.

Continue until the who mixture is frozen crystals (anything from 2 – 4 hours depending on your freezer).

To make the Ice Cream:
Whip the cream until soft peaks and gently fold in the condensed milk, vanilla paste and salt until a smooth consistency.

Pour into a container and freeze until frozen.

To make the Affogato:

Place a few spoonfuls of granita in a glass. Top with a scoop of ice cream.

Sprinkle with some more granita and serve immediately.
