Chocolate brownies

    cake flour
  • 1/4
    cup
    cocoa powder
  • 1/2
    tsp
    salt
  • 1

    baking powder

    unsalted butter (softened)
  • 170

    dark chocolate
  • 1
    cup
    Soft Light Brown Sugar
  • 3
    large eggs, beaten
  • crushed walnuts (optional)
 

Method

Preheat the oven to 160°C and line a 20cm x 20cm baking tin with baking paper.

Sift the flour, cocoa, salt and baking powder together.

In a double boiler, melt the butter and chocolate together. Remove from heat and add the Natura Soft Light Brown Sugar.

Beat the eggs separately and fold into the chocolate mixture alternatively with the dry ingredients.

Pour into the lined tin and bake for 25 minutes. The brownies should look set but still be soft in the middle.

NOTE:
we suggest Natura Soft Light Brown Sugar because of the soft moist texture of the sugar. Also, the Natura Soft Light Brown Sugar has a natural creamy, fudgy flavour to it that adds depth to the flavour of the brownie.
