Yoghurt pork chops

  • MARINADE
  • 375
    ml
    plain yoghurt
  • 5
    ml
    ground cumin
  • 5
    ml
    ground coriander
  • 5
    ml
    finely chopped green chilli
  • 5
    ml
    finely chopped red chilli (optional)
  • 5
    ml
    grated fresh ginger
  • 5
    ml
    crushed garlic
  • 5
    ml
    lemon juice
  • 15
    ml
    oil
  • 5
    ml
    French mustard
  • 65
    ml
    tomato paste or purée
  • 6
    pork loin chops
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper
 

Method

 
Blend all the ingredients for the marinade. Place the chops in a non-metal dish and pour over the marinade. Turn so the meat is completely covered with the marinade and marinate overnight or for half a day. Grill the chops in the oven or in a pan for about 5 minutes on each side or until the chops are done and serve hot with mashed potatoes. Serves 4-6.
