    wholewheat flour

    baking powder
  • 10
    ml
    mustard powder
  • 2
    ml
    salt
  • 30
    ml
    butter
  • 500
    ml
    Cheddar cheese, finely grated
  • 375
    ml
    milk
 

Method

 
Preheat the oven to 180 ºC and grease a 22 x 10 cm loaf tin with butter or non-stick spray. Mix all the dry ingredients and rub in the butter until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs. Add the grated cheese and mix. Add the milk and mix well. Turn the dough into the prepared loaf tin and bake for 50 to 60 minutes or until a testing skewer comes out clean. Serve with butter, jam and cheese. Makes 1 loaf.
