Wheat salad

    cooked wheat
  • 3
    stalks celery
  • 5
    radishes (optional)
  • 3
    spring onions or chives
  • 2
    carrots, coarsely chopped (optional)
  • 2
    green and 1 red pepper
  • 2
    gherkins (optional)
  • half an English cucumber
  • few cubes Cheddar cheese (optional)
  • commercial fat-free salad dressing
  • salt and black pepper to taste


20 minutes
Combine all the salad ingredients in a glass bowl and pour over enough salad dressing to moisten the salad.
Season well with salt and black pepper.
Chill till needed.
