    bran
  • 90
    ml
    sugar
  • 125
    ml
    sesame, poppy or sunflower seeds
  • 2
    Litres
    milk
  • 500
    ml
    rye flour
  • 750
    ml
    cake flour or white bread flour
  • 1
    Litres
    self-;raising flour
  • 5
    ml
    salt
  • 25
    ml
    baking powder
  • sesame and poppy seeds for sprinkling
 

Method

 
Mix the bran, sugar, seeds and milk and leave overnight. Preheat the oven to 180 °C and spray two medium-sized loaf tins with non-stick spray or grease lightly with margarine. Combine the dry ingredients and add to the wet ingredients. Mix and turn the dough into the loaf tins, spreading evenly. Leave in a warm place for about 20 minutes. Sprinkle with sesame or poppy seeds if desired. Bake for about an hour until done. Makes two medium loaves.
