Halva and pomegranate ice cream

    good quality vanilla ice cream
  • 300
  • 100
    shelled pistachios, chopped
  • 125
    pomegranate seeds, plus extra to garnish
  • red apples, sweet melons and seedless grapes
  • juice from 1 orange
  • 15
    lemon juice
Servings: Change Serving


Leave the ice cream to soften slightly. Cut or break the halva into small pieces. Add to the ice cream, along with half the nuts and the pomegranate seeds.

Return to the freezer and freeze overnight until firm.

Cut the fruit into bite-sized pieces. Mix with the orange and lemon juice. Serve with a scoop of ice cream and scatter with the remaining nuts and extra pomegranate seeds.
