Wasabi rice cakes

    jasmine rice
  • 10
    ml
    freshly grated ginger
  • 10
    ml
    rice vinegar
  • 5
    ml
    sesame oil
  • 5
    ml
    honey
  • 250
    ml
    water
  • 10
    ml
    wasabi powder or paste
  • 10
    ml
    black or white sesame seeds
 

Method

 
Combine rice, ginger, vinegar, oil, honey and water in a small saucepan. Cook for 20 minutes, or until liquid has evaporated. Stir in wasabi powder and spread rice out on a shallow tray to cool, patting it down with the back of a spoon. Cut into 12 squares and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Serve garnished with coriander.
