Vanilla ice cream with almond praline

  • vanilla ice cream
  • PRALINE
  • 250
    ml
    sugar
  • 100
    g
    whole almonds, toasted
 

Method

 
PRALINE: Melt sugar in a heavy-based saucepan over low heat. Take care not to burn it. When sugar has dissolved and liquid begins to darken, stir in nuts. Pour mixture onto a greased baking sheet and leave until set. Chip off shards with a knife. Scoop ice cream into bowls or glasses and decorate with praline shards.
