    peppermint chocolate
  • 90

    butter
  • 90
    g
    currants or sultanas
  • 90
    g
    blanched almonds or pecan nuts, coarsely chopped
  • 5
    ml
    vanilla essence
  • 45
    ml
    Nestlé condensed milk
  • 500
    g
    icing sugar
  • 1
    extra-large egg, beaten
 

Method

 
Line a 34 x 27 cm pan with wax paper. Melt the peppermint chocolate and butter together. Add all the other ingredients, except the egg, and blend. Add the egg and mix well. Spoon into the prepared tin and chill. Cut into squares once the mixture is stiff and keep in the fridge. Makes about 55 soft fudge squares.
