Tuna stir-fry

    solid pack tuna in brine
  • 15
    ml
    oil
  • 1
    clove garlic, crushed
  • 1
    green pepper, sliced into strips
  • 2
    stalks celery, chopped
  • 75
    g
    fresh button mushrooms, sliced
  • 1
    ml
    ground ginger
  • 30
    ml
    water
  • 30
    ml
    soy sauce
  • 45
    ml
    sweet chilli sauce
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper
 

Method

 
Open the can of tuna, drain the brine and flake. Heat the oil and sauté; the garlic until fragrant. Add the pepper strips and celery and sauté; for one minute. Add the mushroom slices and sauté; until soft. Add the ginger and sauté; until fragrant. Add the water, soy sauce and chilli sauce and bring to the boil. Add the flaked tuna and stir until mixed. Simmer until heated through and the sauce thickens slightly. Serve immediately on rice or pasta.
