Tomato sauce

Ingredients

  • 400
    g
    whole tomatoes in tomato purée
  • 10
    ml
    chopped parsley
  • 3
    chives, chopped into thin rings
  • 5
    ml
    sugar
  • salt and pepper
 

Method

 
Roughly chop the tomatoes and pour into a small saucepan along with the purée. Add the remaining ingredients and simmer for 30 minutes until the sauce has reduced and has thickened. Adjust the seasoning and serve on heated plates with Chicken rolls (see recipe). Serves 3-4.
