  • 2
    onions, finely chopped
  • oil
  • 2
    cloves garlic, crushed
  • 2
    green chillies, seeded and finely chopped
  • 820
    g
    tomatoes, chopped
  • 1
    chicken stock cube
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 15
    ml
    sugar
 

Method

 
Sauté the onion in a little heated oil until soft. Add the garlic and chilli and sauté until soft. Reduce the heat and add the tomatoes and their liquid. Season with the remaining ingredients and simmer until the sauce is no longer watery. Set aside until needed. Makes 1 litre.
