Tomato and onion relish

  • butter and oil for frying
  • 15
    ml
    mustard seeds
  • 3
    onions, sliced
  • 410
    g
    whole peeled tomatoes with juice, chopped
  • 15
    ml
    Worcestershire sauce
  • 5
    ml
    sugar
  • salt and milled pepper
 

Method

 
Heat butter and oil and add mustard seeds. As seeds begin to pop, add onions and sauté until soft. Add remaining ingredients and simmer slowly for 10 to 15 minutes. Serve hot. TOTAL KILOJOULE COUNT: 1 900 kJ (455 Cal). Makes about 375 ml (1 1/2 cups)
