    Rolled oats

    Digestive bran

    Wheat germ

    Flaked or desiccated coconut

    Pumpkinseeds

    Sunflower seeds
  • 25
    ml
    Sesame seeds
  • 125

    Almonds, roughly chopped
  • 125
    ml
    Chopped dried fruit of your choice
  • 250

    Sultanas
  • 125
    ml
    Dates, chopped
  • 125
    ml
    Honey
  • 80
    ml
    Sunflower oil
  • 125
    ml
    Apple juice
 

Method

Mix all the dry ingredients, except the fruit, in a large bowl.
Heat the honey, oil and apple juice until the honey has melted and the mixture is hot.
Pour the honey mixture over the dry ingredients and stir well to coat.
Spread the mixture out on one or two large baking trays.
Bake in a preheated oven for 25 to 35 minutes or until golden, stirring every 10 minutes during the cooking time.
Remove from the oven and set aside to cool.
Add the fruit and mix well. Store in an airtight container.

Serve with yoghurt and fresh berries.
