Thai-style spicy broth

  • 1
    pork loin chop
  • 1
  • 1
    sachet liquid stock
  • 4
    soy sauce
  • Zest and juice of 1 lime (use lemon if you don’t have limes)
  • 1
    powdered ginger
  • 1/2
    cayenne pepper/chili powder
  • sprinkle of nutmeg
  • 2
    large or 4 small cloves of garlic, sliced
  • 1
    stick of lemongrass, slightly crushed to release the flavour
  • 2
    small carrots, shaved
  • 2
    small baby marrow, julienned
  • 1
    small onion, sliced
  • sliced broccoli florets
  • chopped mangetouts
  • chopped baby sweetcorn
  • egg noodles



Seer pork loin chop for 5 minutes on each side, and then slice it up to cook further in the broth (adds a lot of flavour).

The Broth

Simmer all of the broth ingredients together for 15 minutes, then add the meat to your broth and simmer for another 15 minutes.

Finish off by adding the other ingredients.Simmer for another 10 minutes, then dish and top with bean sprouts and/or chopped parsley and sesame seeds.
