  • day-old white loaf, thinly sliced
  • margarine
  • 245

    cheese spread
  • 430

    asparagus salad cuts, drained
  • 370

    shredded tuna in oil, drained
  • 1
    onion, finely chopped
  • 125
    ml
    mayonnaise
  • 25
    ml
    tomato sauce
  • 25
    ml
    chutney
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • parsley for sprinkling on top
 

Method

20-30 minutes
 
Preheat the oven to 180 ºC (350 ºF). Spray 2 muffin tins with nonstick spray, or grease well with butter or margarine. Cut out circles, 7 cm in diameter, from the slices of bread. Spread both sides of the circles with margarine. Line the hollows of the prepared muffin tins with the bread circles. Mix the remaining ingredients, except the parsley, in a mixing bowl. Fill the lined muffin tin hollows with the mixture and sprinkle with parsley. Bake for about 20-30 minutes or until the edges of the bread are golden brown. Makes about 18 tartlets.
