Tangy onion rings

    onions
  • 60
    ml
    olive oil
  • 6
    bay leaves
  • 2
    ml
    oregano
  • pinch allspice
  • 125
    ml
    grape vinegar
  • 1
    garlic clove, crushed
  • 15
    ml
    soft brown sugar
  • large pinch ground cumin
  • salt
 

Method

 
Separate the onions into rings and mix with the remaining ingredients.
Leave in the fridge overnight before spooning into a sterilised jar and sealing.
The onion rings will keep for a year.
