Tagliatelle & creamed veal

    ml
    flour, seasoned with salt and garlic pepper
  • 450
    g
    veal, cut into strips
  • 50
    ml
    butter
  • 1
    onion, sliced
  • 250
    g
    fresh brown mushrooms, sliced
  • 125
    ml
    dry white wine
  • 60
    ml
    chicken stock
  • 165
    ml
    cream
  • 2
    ml
    salt
  • 5
    ml
    garlic pepper
  • 5
    ml
    cornflour, mixed with a little water to form a paste(optional)
  • 500
    g
    tagliatelle
  • Parmesan cheese
 

Method

 
Coat veal in flour, sauté in melted butter, remove from pan and drain. Sauté onion and mushrooms in butter until soft, add wine and simmer to reduce. Add stock, cream and seasoning. Mix well and continue reducing. Add veal just before serving to heat through. Thicken with cornflour if necessary. Cook tagliatelle as directed on packaging, drain and place on a warm serving plate. Top with veal sauce and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Serves 4.
