Sweetcorn bake

    ml
    milk
  • 30
    ml
    butter
  • 250
    ml
    fresh breadcrumbs
  • 250
    ml
    Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 420
    g
    cream-style sweetcorn
  • 3
    extra-large eggs, separated
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
 

Method

 
Preheat the oven to 180 ºC and butter a deep 20 cm oven dish or individual ramekins. Melt the butter and add the breadcrumbs, cheese, sweetcorn and egg yolks. Mix and remove from the heat. Season to taste with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form and fold into the mixture. Turn into the prepared dish and bake for 25 minutes until golden brown and nicely puffed up. Serve immediately. Serves 6-8.
