    ml
    boiling water
  • 40
    ml
    grape vinegar
  • 15
    ml
    soy sauce
  • 45
    ml
    hot chutney
  • 40
    ml
    brown sugar
  • 25
    ml
    tomato sauce
  • 10
    ml
    cornflour
 

Method

 
Heat all ingredients except the cornflour, stirring until the sugar has dissolved. Simmer slowly for 10 to 15 minutes. Blend the cornflour with a little cold water to form a smooth paste and stir into the sauce. Simmer until the sauce is done and slightly thickened. Serve with mince fritters (see recipe).
