Ingredients (9)

50.00 ml butter
1.00 onion — large, sliced into rings
1.00 garlic — cloves, crushed
250.00 ml flour — cake
salt and freshly ground black pepper — to taste
500.00 g sheep — liver
25.00 ml soy sauce
30.00 ml sugar
125.00 ml water

Method:

Fry the onions and garlic in the butter until soft and fragrant.
Season the cake flour generously with salt and pepper and transfer to a plastic bag. Add the liver pieces and shake well.
Add the liver to the onion mixture in the pan and stir-fry until lightly browned on the outside.
Add the remaining ingredients and bring to the boil. Reduce the heat and simmer until the liver is done and the sauce is flavoursome.
Serve with mashed potatoes and vegetables.
