    lettuce, torn into smaller pieces
  • 2
    avocado pears, cut into fans (see tips)
  • 125
    g
    bacon, chopped and cooked until crisp
  • 3
    slices white bread, cut into cubes and fried in oil
  • SALAD DRESSING
  • 125
    ml
    vinegar
  • 125
    ml
    lemon juice
  • 120
    g
    sugar
  • 3
    eggs, well beaten
  • 15
    ml
    mustard powder
  • 1
    ml
    salt
 

Method

 
Place lettuce onto a flat plate and arrange the avocado pears, bacon and cubes of bread on top. Heat the vinegar, lemon juice and sugar together until the sugar dissolves. Add the beaten eggs, mustard powder and salt and heat slowly until the sauce thickens. Allow it to cool and pour over the salad shortly before serving.
