  • ICING
  • 280

    icing sugar
  • 15
    ml
    cocoa
  • 15
    ml
    butter
  • 125
    ml
    hot milk
  • extra icing sugar
 

Method

 
Preheat the oven to 180 ºC (350 ºF). Cream the margarine and sugar, add the syrup and mix. Sift the dry ingredients together. Add to the butter mixture along with the vanilla essence and sultanas. Mix well. Turn onto a greased baking sheet and spread a 1 cm thick layer over the sheet. Bake for about 20 minutes or until light brown on top. Cool slightly. Combine the icing sugar, cocoa, butter and hot milk. Sprinkle dry icing sugar over the layer of cake and pour the icing sugar mixture on top. Leave to stand overnight before cutting into squares.
