Ingredients (6)

6.00 chicken breast fillets
dried sage
6.00 cheddar cheese — slices
6.00 parma ham — slices
salt and freshly ground black pepper
lemon juice

Method:

Preheat the oven to 180 ºC (350 ºF).
Cut a 2-3 cm slit in each chicken fillet and sprinkle a little sage in each slit.
Stuff each slit with a slice of cheese and a slice of ham.
Season the chicken fillets to taste with salt and pepper, and arrange in a greased casserole with the skin side facing up.
Sprinkle with a little lemon juice and bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until the chicken is nicely browned on top and completely done.
Baste periodically with the meat juices.
Serve with flavoured rice and a salad.
