Strawberry crumble

    g
    strawberries
  • Castor sugar
  • 180
    g
    cake flour
  • 100
    g
    butter
  • 100
    g
    demarara sugar (treacle sugar)
 

Method

20 mins
 
Trim the leaves and stems off the strawberries, halve them and layer in a greased oven-proof dish.
Sprinkle with castor sugar - use several spoonfuls.
Rub the butter into the flour.
Mix in the brown sugar.
Scatter the crumble mixture over the strawberries.
Bake at 200 °C until nicely browned.
