Stir-fried rice with spicy sausage and fegetables

    crushed garlic

    medium onion, thinly sliced

    spiced sausages, sliced
  • 375
    ml
    broccoli, broken into florets
  • 500

    cauliflower, broken into florets
  • 65
    ml
    boiling water
  • 1
    Litres
    cold, cooked white rice
  • SEASONING:
  • 25
    ml
    soy sauce
  • few dashes Worcestershire sauce or hoisin sauce
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 30
    ml
    chopped fresh parsley
 

Method

 
Heat the oil in a fairly large pan until hot and rapidly stir-fry the garlic and onion until fragrant. Add the sliced sausage and stir-fry until lightly browned. Add the broccoli and cauliflower, stir-fry lightly and pour boiling water over. Cover and heat until the vegetables start to soften, remove the lid and heat until the liquid has evaporated. Add the rice and mix until hot. Pour the seasoning over and mix through. Serve immediately. Serves 4.
