Sticky, aromatic pork roast

  • 1.80
    kg
    boneless, rolled pork
  • 45
    ml
    brown sugar
  • 125
    ml
    low-sodium soya sauce
  • 10
    ml
    dried chilli flakes
  • 3
    cloves garlic, crushed
  • 30
    ml
    freshly grated ginger
  • 10
    ml
    Chinese five-spice powder
  • 2
    limes, juice
  • 1
    orange, grated peel
  • sea salt and milled pepper
 

Method

 
Preheat oven to 190°C and place the pork roast in a roasting pan.
Mix remaining ingredients, pour over pork and marinate for at least one hour.
Pop into the oven and roast for 30 minutes.
Reduce heat to 160°C and roast for a further 15 to 20 minutes, basting frequently.
Remove from oven, cover with foil and allow to rest for 10 to 20 minutes before carving.
