Steak in red wine

    T-bone steaks
  • 250
    ml
    good red wine
  • 10
    ml
    garlic salt
  • 15
    ml
    dried origanum
  • black pepper to taste
 

Method

 
1. Trim steak of excess fat and sinew, and place in a large, shallow non-metal dish. Cover and refrigerate for several hours or overnight. 2. Combine wine, garlic salt, origanum and pepper in a jug. 3. Prepare and heat barbecue for 1 hour before cooking. Cook steak on hot, lightly greased barbecue. Grill each side until cooked as desired, brushing frequently with wine mixture. 4. Serve immediately.
