Spicy plum compôte

    white or red wine

    sugar

    seedless raising
  • 1
    stick cinnamon

    plums
  • 30
    ml
    potato flour or cornflour
  • 100
    ml
    water
 

Method

 
Bring water, white wine, sugar, raisins and cinnamon stick to boil. Add plums and simmer over gentle heat until plums are tender. Dissolve potato flour in cold water. Remove pan from heat and stir in flour mixture. Return to stove and bring to boil. Remove from stove and cool. Pour into a bowl and serve well chilled with a little thick cream. TOTAL KILOJOULE COUNT: 6 645 kJ (1 590 Cal). A portion: 1 660 kJ (395 Cal).
