Spicy fried nuts

    ml
    olive oil
  • 10
    ml
    ground ginger
  • 10
    ml
    curry powder
  • 5
    ml
    cayenne pepper
  • 60
    ml
    brown sugar
  • 30
    ml
    honey
  • 400
    g
    nuts - a mix of walnuts, pecans, cashews and almonds
 

Method

 
Heat the olive oil in a pan and fry the spices, seasoning, sugar and honey until sugar dissolves.
Add the nuts and stir-fry until coated.
Turn out on a baking sheet covered with oiled foil and leave to cool.
Once hard, break into pieces.
Store in an airtight container to prevent the coatings turning soggy.
